Ellie has arrived in our care from Romania, she is around 6 years old female Boxer Cross. She found herself in a kill shelter but was rescued and is now with us in the UK. It is obvious this poor girl has spent her life as a breeding machine then fending for herself on the streets. She is very thin and has a few cyst type lumps too. She has obviously been hit by people in the past too. Despite this she is a very outgoing and very sweet friendly girl who is great with everyone she meets including other dogs and has ignored cats, she loves a fuss and her bum never stops wiggling! She loves to play and chase a ball.
As she has not lived in a home before she likes to investigate everything and will need help learning how to be part of the family! She is always on the lookout for food so if anything edible is left out it will soon be in her mouth! She is quite a lively outgoing girl and still has a typical boxer nature. We wouldn’t advise a home with young children purely due to the fact she has not been in a family home before. She needs to start from scratch and learn how to be a family pet, this will include all basic training, toilet training and walking on a lead and of course to learn our language as she has not been around English speaking people before.
At the moment she cannot be let off the lead until she has had some serious training as she will not come back. She will stress if left alone and confined to a room too as she is not used to this at all so a home with someone around for most of the day and lots of time and patience to dedicate to her is a must and preferably with another dog for company.
