Hi my name is Dave, I am a Boxer cross Mastiff and I am around 4 years old. I have been neutered, vaccinated, flead and wormed. I am a very big lad as you can see from the pictures, but please don’t be put off by my size as I am a real big softy at heart. I have spent most of my life in one room and wasn’t given much attention but then I was rehomed to a lovely lady. She had me a week but her other dog didn’t like me so she had to give me to Bullies in need.

I have been foster for a while now and I have really come on leaps and bounds. When I first came, I was very reserved and very worried when people tried to give me attention. I really didn’t want to give my food bowl up either but now I will share it with other dogs and people. I live in a pack of up to 14 dogs at a time and I am very much loved by them all. I am so playful and love to have a bounce around with other dogs and also people. I respond better to men as they can show authority, but as long as I think a woman is not a push over then I will listen to her just as well once I trust her.

It will take me a few weeks to settle into my new home, and I will need to be given time to adapt to the new situation with out being pushed too fast but after that I will love you forever. I am such a playful and lovable boy once I trust you, but I do really need to know that I can fully trust you first or I can be grumpy. I love my blanket, maybe a little bit too much. I suck on it, and if anybody comes near me whilst I am having my moment with my blanket I am not best pleased!

I am absolutely perfect on the lead and live with a two year old child which I adore. He has lots of little friends who come to play and all of the little people enjoy involving me in their play too so I can absolutely fine to live with children. The most important thing for me is for me to have an owner that can give me a firm but kind hand when needed. After all, I am a typical bull breed so can be stubborn as hell at times!

It is essential that the lucky person that adopts me is physically strong enough to play with me and that they are used to big breeds. I love to jump up on my back legs and put my paws on your shoulders. I bounce around and bark and growl like a big baby and I love to chew your hands when I play. This is not in any way aggressive, but somebody that does not understand me might be a little bit intimidated of a big bear barking, growling and jumping around the room like crazy! My foster mummy loves to play like this with me and it makes me so happy.
