Winston is a lovely 2-3-year-old male Boxer cross currently residing in kennels near Worcester. He was handed to HCBW as a quiet and emaciated stray, lacking a name and any known history.
Thanks to the care of the emergency foster family, Winston has been named, vaccinated, and has gained some much-needed weight. While he still awaits neutering, HCBW is committed to covering the associated costs.
Since his arrival, Winston has emerged from his shell, revealing a friendly and good-natured personality coupled with plenty of energy.
While he requires an experienced owner due to his strength, he has responded well to basic training at the kennels, and prospective adopters are encouraged to continue this positive reinforcement.
Winston has shown friendliness towards other dogs, making him a potential companion for another canine, but it’s important to note that he is not suitable for a home with cats.
HCBW would consider rehoming him with children over 10 years of age who are familiar with larger dogs.
Given Winston’s challenging start in life, the rescue organization hopes to place him in a home where he can relish enjoyable walks, playtime in a garden, and, ultimately, settle down for a comforting cuddle.
As with all HCBW rescue dogs, a satisfactory home check is mandatory, and an adoption fee of £200 applies to Winston.
