Fix is a 5 year old male Boxer Cross. He is a handsome, stocky boy with a silky brown coat and part white face. He has beautiful soulful eyes. We believe he could be part Boxer. Although this cannot be seen in his face, he has a very similar build to a boxer. Fix came to the shelter in Portugal a short while ago after being removed from his owner because he had been chasing sheep.

However, the first day he was let out of his kennel he jumped a 7 foot fence and made his way home back to his owner. A few weeks later Fix was submitted to the shelter once more by his owner. Fix is not a bad dog. In fact, he is a very lovely dog. But, his owner allowed him to walk the streets and do his own thing.

Fix has been at the shelter just one week and he cries all the time we are there as he wants to go home. He cannot roam freely around the recreation area for fear that he will jump the fence again. Fix is a lovely friendly boy and when he knew he was going for a walk his eyes lit up. It is obvious he is very sad at the shelter.

Who wouldn’t be after having a comfortable home? Whoever falls in love with Fix would need to understand that he cannot be left alone in a garden and that he should never be off a lead near livestock. Fix would need to be on a lead, maybe an extendable, for sometime until he learnt how to stay close.

But, whoever is prepared to help Fix will, I’m sure be well rewarded as he is so loyal and attentive once he knows you love him. He is friendly steady boy who had a home and has now found himself in the shelter.

Foster Report: Sweet, friendly boy, but we are working on lead training and recall which he isn’t very good at! Current location is in a foster home in Portugal can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to in December.
